It’s been awhile since I visited one of my favourite sites; nysocialdiary.com. I always experience such a thrill when I visit and they are featuring a home that literally speaks to every inch of my design addict being. This feature, Sue Hostetler’s home does just that and more. Sue is a the Editor in Chief of Art Basel Miami Beach Magazine.
A coffered ceiling and a trampoline are winning combinations, don’t you think? The trampoline is for their son, Spencer.
This beautiful walnut cabinet hosts Sue’s and her hubby’s book collection.
really loving the coffee table…
The art work throughout the home is quite enviable too, especially these miniature versions of Spencer’s art.
Sue’s closet: I’m really smitten with those knobs!
very serene.
A Prouvé daybed bought dressed up with a throw from Jonathan Adler.
Ikea rug and bunk beds.
Spencer’s playroom
Are you inspired? I sure am. To read the accompanying and interesting interview with Sue, click here. Happy Tuesday my friends! XX

Super cool.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to believe that someone lives with all that fabulousness every day. I have big time envy!!
ReplyDeleteUgh that's gorgeous!!! I live in the East Village and I can tell you that my place looks nothing like that. I'll keep dreaming :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI saw this piece and LOVED it!! SO creative. I already pinned the the foyer because I adored the combo of the wallpaper and tiles. So much inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteAll of this is just amazing, but my favorite?? The wall-to-wall chalkboard. What a fantastic inspiration board I could make!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first day of summer break Stacey! Time for you to sit back and enjoy your little one, and your upcoming little one! I hope you are feeling fantastic!
lisa.
Love the light fixtures in her home and the jersey print chairs caught my eye as well.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What.a.space!! I mean is this all in one place?!
ReplyDeleteHey you!
ReplyDeleteI love this house tour - it is super impressive, but has a 'realness' to it. The lack of 'styling' and perfection makes it all so much more approachable. I especially liked seeing a wardrobe that is as jammed and messy as mine! :)
Darling, I am thrilled by your email. Will sit down and collate my thoughts in the next few days.
Big hugs to you Z and the bump!
xx C

ReplyDeleteDear Stacey,
ReplyDeleteThat is fun, fun, FUN! It's the perfect feature to kick off a summer vacation. I don't know what it is about summer, but I always get the itch to re do and redecorate my home more than the usual spring like the masses! Good thing for my husbands wallet we will be gone most of the summer. I keep thinking since we are both in NC, we can't be too far apart to finally meet one day! Until then, we're headed out of the state until August. Loved this :)
XO,
Kelly

OH those stainless steel kitchens just make my heart sing! I have a French style kitchen but we just got a new stainless steel fridge that just sparkles and is SO CHIC! DEAREST STACY, thank you for coming over last night! Oh dearest, to HEAR THE BIRDS SING, to hear my fountain gurgle and hear the silence....I have THREE days of teachers' workshops to attend this week...ahhhhhh! Cold and dull conference rooms and long hours, but when I came home last night, I just reveled in the beauty of my humble home. HAVE A WONDERFUL BEGINNING OF THE SUMMER DEAR FRIEND as you anticipate another beautiful baby boy!!! MUCH LOVE, ANita

Love the space but what is really fun is that Sue was a sorority sister of mine in college and grew up in the same small KS town I'm visiting now. Small, small world.
