Our guests are definitely in for a treat when they visit! I recently worked with Minted to update our guest bedroom with one of their beautiful removable wall murals. yes, you read correctly, wall murals. Minted recently launched a line of removable wall murals that are one of a kind artwork created by Minted’s community of independent artists and printed on removable mural panels. O.K., let's dive into the details of this fun update...
Before
You might remember this post when I first tackled this space. It has definitely come a far way!
And then I added this oversized art to the wall. So, really the guest bedroom looked great prior but you know me and my ever changing ways- i couldn't wait to try one of those beautiful wall murals in here!
Just like prior to painting your walls, you need to prep your wall prior to adhering the wall mural. I removed the art, lightly sanded and got rid of surface debris, then made sure the wall was nice and clean.
I chose the Hawaiian Reef wall mural designed by Caryn Owen. I really love the colors and it goes seamlessly with my home's aesthetic. The panels have a premium, matte look and are easily removable with no damage to walls. To apply, simply remove the backing, press the panels to the wall with your hands end to end so the design is seamless, and smooth out air bubbles with a credit card.
I am beyond smitten with the results, so stunning!
I switched out the white lamps to black ones because they kind of disappear into the wall and do not detract from that beautiful mural!
