Pink in Stockholm for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Wednesday, October 1st starts the month of breast cancer awareness. So many of us either have had loved ones, know of someone who has had a loved one(s) who have been affected by this disease. There are also some of us who have been personally affected and are survivors. The pink facade of this home in Stockholm seems like the perfect way to kick off breast cancer awareness month. The fish clapboard detail is rather darling too.

More pink details inside via the very pretty wallpaper and floral arrangement.

inspiration for my next reupholstery project; fab!

more pretty wallpaper with pink details...
such a darling space.

National Breast Cancer.org is a great website with invaluable information regarding early detection of the disease and information regarding fundraisers and how you can help. I love their logo; helping women now. xx

The Home of Fashion Designer, Lee Mathews.

The Home of Fashion Designer, Lee Mathews.

Oh Lee, I want everything in your home! If you take a look at Lee's portfolio, you wouldn't at all be surprised by this magical place of a home that she has created in Sydney Balmain.

Blanket Weather is Here.

Just like pillows, I have a thing for blankets. Now that the weather has cooled, they are popping up everywhere in our home.

I thrifted this hand made Mexican blanket a couple weeks ago for less than $4!

How about you? Are you a blanket fanatic too? Have a lovely Monday everyone. xx

A Very Unique All White Loft in New York City.

The all white aesthetic and black floors allow everything to pop and "strut their stuff". The design of this NY loft is quite unique and no surprise since it was designed by the amazing architect, Diane Lewis.  It is a restored 19th century space and its design doesn't adhere to the constraints of traditional domestic architecture. Also, many of my favorite modern designers such as Knoll, Le Corbusier adorn the open space.

This unique home is a single space with floor-to-ceiling walls on two sides. A large box with original flooring, 19th century cast iron columns and no walls. The furniture can be freely positioned to define the spaces. This loft certainly has a New York type of attitude, doesn't it? Very fearless and bold in its design. xx

Throw Back Thursday.

DIY Pumpkins

This is a throw back from last fall when I styled my front porch for my work with the local paper. Lots of diy was involved. Have you started to decorate for fall yet? Happy Thursday! xx

Introducing Rebecca Atwood The Howland Fall Collection.

                                       About The Howland Collection

This fall collection inspiration seems to have be born from the most perfect morning....

The fall collection began on a crisp autumn morning. It was a morning where milk turned a warm cup of coffee into that perfect latte color. It was a morning where light danced across the bedroom walls, creating ever changing patterns. As morning gave way to afternoon, smoky grey shadows cast long grids along the sidewalk, and weathered steel reflected the soft luster of the late-morning sun. A day in the studio is spent creating potato prints, marbling paper and working through ideas in a sketchbook. By the end of the day, the light had shifted, casting everything in deep blue-green hues.

Naturally dyed shibori linens, subtle metallics, hand-painted marks and an array of rich neutrals layer together to create this thoughtfully crafted assortment of patterned pillows. Luxurious but relaxed, these artful works are made to be lived with and enjoyed.

I am loving all the naturally dyed shibori styles, painted watercolor designs, marbleized swirls, metallic linens, and screen printed pillows. Such a lovely assortment, don't you think? See the entire collection here.
