Wiggle Room.

2013-04-08 08.33.57
It is not uncommon for us to “bust a move” in our living spaces. In fact, we do it all the time and I as a result we need lots of wiggle room. In addition, with two children running wild, wiggle room is a must! For today’s post, I am going to define the term wiggle room to be when one is able to  move around freely in a space without stubbing ones toes on a piece of furniture.

Choosing the right size sofa for a living space is paramount for the existence of wiggle room. I’ve visited homes where there was so much furniture in the living space that I could only walk sideways in order to avoid bumping into an item. It’s usually a relief to return to my home where I can walk freely in my abundance of wiggle room.

No stubbing ones toes in this space. It’s no surprise that it is a space belonging to the Novogratz family; lots of wiggle room for playing and or dancing.

a lone sofa with a pouf for perching ones feet though simple in design provides ample opportunity for kiddos to enjoy the space in a carefree manner and adults can easily do the Moon Walk if they so desire. How do you feel about the amount of furniture in a space? Is wiggle room important to you? Blessings and have a wonderful Tuesday. XX

  2. It's interesting that to people from other countries, our houses in Australia often look empty - or so they say - we must like a lot of space around our furniture. So I guess we like lots of wiggle room, you could say! x

  3. I was curious to see what you meant by wiggle room at first, I just love love love that 2nd image! I agree plenty of wiggle room is needed regardless of whether you have kids or not... I like to have the wii on sometime and that requires plenty of wiggle room, as does a victory dance too! Ha ha!

  5. i LOVE wiggle room - but i have ZERO wiggle room - i have a SMALL house with over sized furniture - that's why i want to get my basement finished - and raise the roof on the 2nd floor to give us 'wiggle room'

  7. I have been looking for a good sofa FOREVER and may have found a good Jonathan Adler version. If I didn't have to match a custom console, I would be all over the blue tufted version and white armchair in the other picture!

  10. Dear Stacey, these are so gorgeous! I've been away from the blog world a looong time because of unexpected health issues, and doubt you'd even remember me, but I've never forgotten your lovely blog. I finally got back into my old, dormant account, and hope I'll have the ability to drop by once in a while. Sending good wishes. -Jude

  11. Right here is the perfect web site for anyone who really wants to find
out about this topic. You realize so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I personally would want
to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on a topic that's been discussed for a long time. Great stuff, just great!

  12. I didn't sexchat know, at that time, Wood spoke with numerous veterans and their families. Elsewhere, there are still plenty of sublime, old-fashioned, glamorous amusements that we can pay less in taxes and economic prosperity.
