I bought my second bonsai this weekend and repotted it in this beautiful canary yellow pot(purchased from TJMaxx). It looks right at home atop Zion’s vintage dresser that was thrifted a few months ago. Zion's room gets loads of natural light that floods his room, so the bonsai should thrive(fingers crossed).

It was all about canary yellow also referred to as marigold en mi casa this weekend. The modern chair above is one from a pair that I purchased at the thrift store(one that I frequent way too much). I actually had them in the garage for awhile and I was inspired to paint one this weekend.

And voila! Love it!! I’m thinking blue for the other chair and placing it on the opposite side of the table. Thoughts?

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the talented hubs drew this on the chalkboard wall. It’s so good to have him home… How was your weekend? I'd love to hear about it! Love and Blessings. XX
Love the yellow chair! Wow, your husband is talented! Great little tribute to Dr Seuss:)

Wow! Your husband is an amazing artist. The drawing on the left looks SOOO much like the book cover for Green Eggs and Ham. I'm impressed! I wish I had amazing drawing skills. It's neat how some people have that, and others don't.
ReplyDeleteSeems as though you had a lovely weekend. Wonderful!

WOW. First of all, there is a lot of good stuff happening HERE!
ReplyDeleteZion's dresser is the coolest thing! I remember when these dressers were the rage and still are. I don't know the date on this one, but it sure looks like the style that was the envy in the 60s, and this style is still as sleek as ever! AND what you did to that chair my dear, it is the perfect color! YES, go for blue for the other! AQUA? COLBALT? Whatever you choose, it will be a great contrast.
OK.....your husband. I know he has a career in the military, but HIS DRAWING SKILLS ARE PHENOMENAL! WOW. The boys must love to see their dad's work, and you must be loving seeing him home. What a blessing that you are all together my friend.
MORE blessings to you Stacey my friend, and thank you so much for stopping by! I was supposed to be taking a trip to my native California TODAY, but had to cancel my trip. I will be posting again soon.
HUGS and do share what color you paint the other chair! Anita
Hi Stacy....that yellow chair looks soo good! Love the pop of color AND your husband is SOOOOO talented, OMG! What skill!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you're ainting your chairs! It gives you a bright spot among all the warm wood. So glad to hear Ian is feeling back to himself and moving about. What lucky boys you have to have such a talented Dad! Your husband did an amazing job and in chalk no less, fabulous!
