Rachel Whiting Photography/Styling and Happy Easter!

I wanted my Easter post to reflect Easter colours and put a smile on your face. The entire time I was going through Rachel’s portfolio, I was smiling and overcome with happiness. The colours in her shots will do that to you; make you happy and for some of you(who are embedded in snow) they might even help you  forget that you are. Instead, you’ll begin to hear the birds chirping outside…

Her styling is so impeccable too. It makes each picture and her spaces come alive. The art of styling is one that I haven’t quite mastered yet. I adore the country-esque vibe in this space and I’m salivating over the patterns, the accessories AND the colours! Wowza! The white wall makes the perfect backdrop for everything else to take center stage. This is really a pretty room.

patchwork and floral yumminess…

May your Easter be as bright and merry as these pictures! Much love and blessings to each of you! Enjoy and stay safe! XX

Displaying with Buttons.

A lovely store called Woodsfolk just opened their doors in Melbourne, AU. Their colourful items and creative ideas are a delight to the eyes. I was especially smitten with this particular display that showcases a wall adorned with big colourful buttons. How creative! And, what a fabulous way to display ones favourite pieces. Actually, everything about this display is so cheery, whimsical, and fun! To see more deliciousness from this shop, go here. Happy Wednesday everyone! XX

p.s. thanks for the birthday wishes to my little man:-)

P.S. I have been away from the computer spending quality time with the hubby and my boys. I will be slowly catching up with everyone. Much love and a warm welcome to my new readers. Blessings and Happy Monday. XX

Pastels have been popping up everywhere this season. In fact, the love for pastels seem to have lingered from years gone by.

Incorporating pieces with pastels tone is a great way to freshen up your décor for Spring and even into the Summer months. Painted furniture, throw pillows, or rugs in pastel tones would add the perfect dosage of pastel zing.

Of course, it’s no surprise that there is a pastel explosion in the fashion world. Fashion and interior design are best friends and love to share trends. Gorgeous pairing of colours, no?

Tom Dixon Light Crush.

2010-11-11 13.08.01
I’m enamored with Tom Dixon’s lighting designs. Edgy, sexy, sculptural, and "bling" are some of the adjectives that come to mind when I think of his lighting designs…

Scenes from the Weekend: Around our Home…

I bought my second bonsai this weekend and repotted it in this beautiful canary yellow pot(purchased from TJMaxx). It looks right at home atop Zion’s vintage dresser that was thrifted a few months ago. Zion's room gets loads of natural light that floods his room, so the bonsai should thrive(fingers crossed).

It was all about canary yellow also referred to as marigold en mi casa this weekend. The modern chair above is one from a pair that I purchased at the thrift store(one that I frequent way too much). I actually had them in the garage for awhile and I was inspired to paint one this weekend.

And voila! Love it!! I’m thinking blue for the other chair and placing it on the opposite side of the table. Thoughts?

A bit blurry because he’s always on the move! Baby Ian is  finally eating again and is feeling much better. Mama is very happySmile.

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the talented hubs drew this on the chalkboard wall. It’s so good to have him home… How was your weekend? I'd love to hear about it! Love and Blessings. XX
