I loved reading this feature in the Matchbook magazine about Fashion expert, Linda Rodin Olio. She is not afraid to put her things on display in her home and as a result her home exudes tons of personality and happiness. I think I might just emulate her, after all life should be lived to the fullest. So why hide the things we love because of our fear of clutter?
So what do you think-too much for you? Have a lovely Monday everyone! XX
Definitely not too much for me - The first picture appeals to me most but I am drawn to the others as well. I like the quirky, bohemian elements and the burst of colours everywhere. XX
ReplyDeleteHi! It all is so charming and beautiful! It might be too much here in my house, but not on these photos! Have a beautiful day!

While Linda's rooms are an explosion of beautiful color I simply couldn't live like that. I don't have that kind of time for dusting either but her rooms are fun! Happy Monday Stacey!
ReplyDeleteWell,, if I showed my stuff...I wouldn't be able to walk, so I think its best it be kept concealed behind the closed doors of many closets and chest of drawers, armoires,etc.....though I appreciate the artsy way in which the rooms above were decorated..it would make me nuts. I am way too orderly and symetrical minded to be able to live in a space like that....but its charming and whimsical to see in pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like it very much indeed! However, I do not know how long I would be able to live with it!!! Kisses and wish you a lovely MOnday!!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE everything!! too cluttered for me personally- but great to look at!
ReplyDeleteEvery piece is an enchanting treasure....I think for me, ONE ROOM (which is the case) is a place where I would pack my treasures...the rest of the house has to be more sparingly kept, but I am with this designer....she is stunning!!!! How are ya dearest? HAVE A GRAND DAY! Anita
ReplyDeleteway too much for me! I think I would have a constant headache if I even owned that much stuff, let alone, had it all out! lol :\
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of showing off my books. Rest I can't .. I am a compulsive cleaner ... need everything in its place! :P

i l-o-v-e this.
ReplyDeletecan i pretend this is the sentiment i've always lived by? :P
So wonderful- a little too cluttered for me personally but I definitely admire the whimsy!
ReplyDeleteWell my office is right there!! I'm an out of sight out of mind girl, so I need to have most things out - but a little organization goes a long way!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge believer in living with things that have meaning. This may be a bit much for me but I'm sure it makes her happy and that's what it's all about:)
ReplyDeleteTo each their own. That's the whole point of living like you!!
ReplyDeleteI usually dont like clutter, but some things just have to be displayed! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a little cluttered for my taste!
ReplyDeletei love truly artistic people who march to their own drum...so inspiring. i love the mirror...w.a.n.t.
ReplyDeleteI like the blue rose pillows and I do love that she puts her stuff on display- I just couldn't live like that-
ReplyDeleteI actually really, really like it. Seeing all my collections on display would me so happy. I may have to go home and do some rearranging :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a bit much for me—and I like a busy place— but hey, if Linda likes it, that's all that matters, right? Smart to display so much behind glass. Who's doing the dusting ;-)?
ReplyDeleteLove it in these photos and in other people's homes...for me, I'd have a hard time with so many things around.
ReplyDeleteYes too much for me I'm afraid. This sort of environment makes me nervous.. :|
ReplyDeleteThough I am not in any way a total neat freak, I do need a sense of aesthetic balance and flow. Less is more for Swedish me! :)
xx Charlotta
Love this! Now I don't feel so bad about my random taste:)
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit too much for me. I'm afraid my design aesthetic leans more towards the minimalist. But that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the color and the whimsy of this post. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLot's of pretty stuff, but way too much for me. I'm really into editing. Just checking in. I've been swamped. Love the little mitten and glove art in your last post and it looks like a good time was had by all at your son's birthday party. Have a great week. Mona
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers on the drapes! Makes me wish (for the umpteenth time) that I'd garnered more stuff during all my travels. Not that the journeys end here, but would be nice to have more stuff now that I'm considering myself more settled. Happy week to you Stacey! I've missed you!
ReplyDeleteI think we should surround ourselves with things we love. This feels a bit too much for me, I worry about the cleaning, would take me days:)!
ReplyDeleteA very personal home though, I bet she loves every piece in her home and somehow I do feel inspired by it.
Wish you a really great day sweet Stacey!
Yes, this is too cluttered for me ,personally a bit too much for me,though i have lots of love about your collection stuff, those fabrics and the bedroom and the bed lamps esp.!loving the sea shells collection too!
ReplyDeleteAdore this Stacey! So interestingly chaotic. All those wonderful colours and textures. Always something new to look at. And any space with seashells is a space for me! Pruxxx
ReplyDeleteYup, too much for me! If I did not have to clean it, I may think twice about it. Still though, the bright cheerful colors everywhere are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAh well, I think there is beauty in collections, and beauty in sparseness. Why do we have to a one~size~fits~all rule anyway? The interesting thing about homes is that they should reflect one's own personality, not be a copy of somebody else's opinions.
ReplyDeleteSo, beauty in variety, in my opinion! This home is GORGEOUS!
Do come check out my latest post about the most amazing jeweler from New Zealand ~ with details on how to win one of her glamourously colourful rings.
How have I missed her, her style is unique and truly a marvel to look at. Plus she is wearing skinny jeans, my oh my she has got it.
ReplyDeleteHow do they make it look so lovely?? All of our stuff that is out looks so cluttered. I clearly don't have the touch for tidy displays of lots of stuff but I will look to these wonderful photos for ways to better show it all off!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable woman...and how cute is her dog!! Love her colorful home and that she wants to display all of her collections <3 Great post.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the right space for me. Whimisical yet serene. Thanks for sharing the photos and drop by me too, soon.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
That room is really something. It has her name written all over it. I want a room like that, I want a homey home like that, in which I would fill all my lifetime sweet memories. This is a very inspirational post. Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over for a cup of tea, Stacey! Steaming hot tea, yes, I like it that way too :) :) Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeletexx
Incredibly dreamy spaces!
ReplyDeletei love this, the house seems funky and classy at the same time. And what a beautiful woman! I just finished dusting our apartment. I heart clutter but i would DIE if i had to dust that home!!!! lol The seashells!!!!! do you think she does it herself??? lol
ReplyDelete:)
These are happy photos....so not too much for them. But, yes...a tad bit much for me. I tend to start getting agitated when everything is piled up. And, as I look around me now....I need to start cleaning up! :)
ReplyDeletexoxo Elizabeth
Love the use of color. And the poodle is the perfect touch in that bedroom!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely...as long as she lives in a relatively dust free environment or a daily housekeeper comes along with it! Honestly... I love this style. It's not me, but I love it still. And the dog... gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Ann
PS Edward says Hi back! He is doing great! Thanks!
I love this too. I don't think I could pull it off in my own home though!
ReplyDeleteA bit over the top compared to what I would like in my own home but lovely none the less :)
ReplyDeleteI love the overall effect of the rooms but dusting for me is a chore so I don't have that much stuff around.
ReplyDeletea little too much but I do love having some things out & displayed.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! although everything is a little stuffed up - I like it!
