I’ve been lucky enough to savor exquisite cuisines from my dining experiences in Paris. However, those experiences pale in comparison to what I could have on one of Paule Caillat’s( a Parisian cooking extraordinaire) Promenades Gourmandes. According to the site, Promenades Gourmandes offer experiences where you:
Enjoy an unforgettable day in the capital of gastronomy as you combine the pleasures of strolling the markets, choosing ingredients, composing a menu, preparing an authentic French meal, and savoring the delicious result with hand-picked wines.Cooking classes and macarons classes are taught in the specially designed kitchen of gourmet Paule Caillat, for a fun and friendly learning atmosphere in a Parisian home.
Can you imagine such a life changing experience? I don’t feel it is a far fetched notion to harbor in my thoughts; one day, I’ll be side by side with the great Paule. However, until then, I am happy just to be able to feast my eyes on her Amazing kitchen and I mean Amazing!! I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you, plus, you get to see one of her classes in progress-such a treat!
Paule at work (weighing butter for tart crust)
delicious looking cheese plate
arranging fig slices on the almond filling in the tart
cleaning up after a meal in such a kitchen cannot be labeled a chore..
A wine wall is such a great feature in a kitchen, is it not?; I’m loving the red too.
I hope you all had a splendid and fun weekend. I sure did. I saw the movie, The King's Speech this weekend and i thoroughly enjoyed it; definitely a must see! So, wouldn't you just love to be in one of Paule’s Caillat’s cooking classes? Especially when they’re held in such a magnificent kitchen
. Have a great day my friends and welcome to Monday. XX

Sounds like an amazing experience!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful - love the red walls and red cabinets (and mmm cheese plate and tarts!)
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen is spectacular...I could do some serious cooking in there. What a treat!
ReplyDeleteXO,

Stacey ma belle!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW. That first photo just invites us INTO this magnificent palace of divine gastronomical delights. There is nowhere like Paris or none other than a trained, focused and PASSIONATE FRENCH CHEF to bring the science and art of cooking together as such. THAT SOUFFLÉ and that fig tart???!!! And then the equipment, the rooms, the lighting, the wine, my goodness, this is a treat and thank you for your hospitality dearest!
Stacey, your comments were outstanding; I never ever even thought that my post was like a theatre presentation! BUT THANK YOU! I was so empty while posting it, but you know, sometimes I can make something out of nothing. I actually grew up having to do that...creating something with very little. I am doing great, but the time factor is what is making me crunch all my duties and passions into my schedule these days. OUR ROOMS ARE ALMOST DONE! But we still have the exposed beams and the chandelier to put in, but that won't be for a while, but we will be able to move into the rooms by hopefully, this next weekend!
I cannot wait to see your home. You must be SOOOOOOOO EXCITED! Our house is a mess and I cannot wait to organize and clean.
Dearest, have a wonderful Monday and you are TOPS!!!!
Bises, Anita
Its a dream place and I heard a lot about Paule and how amazing she is...Wow that kitchen looks beautiful. I used to take part in macrobiotic cooking classes and its such a lovely thing to do. Have a fantastic Monday morning, sweetie

ReplyDeleteTruly an amazing kitchen. I love the shelves to hold all of the cookbooks! xo
ReplyDeleteThat's not a kitchen, it's a food spa. I'm so inspired, now just need to make some money to start building my dream home.
ReplyDeleteI love the pops of color! Truly a room to grow, cook, dine and enjoy the flavors of life in!! Oh, and I had to smile and think that a single torchiere lamp never looked so good. I saw that peeking out and don't feel so bad about the hideous husband's bachelor chair that still has a heartbeat in my living room. I did get rid of that lamp :) Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteAnother great post of yours!
Oh, yes that kitchen is really something!
It has such a homey feeling to it. This is how I want my kitchen to feel like.
For me it´s all about the bookshelves, they are gorgeous and bring a lot of statement to the room!
Also the gorgeous stove at the end of the cooking island, is something I´ve never seen before. Such a great idea to put it right there in the centre of the kitchen!
I would love to take some classes in this fantastic kitchen, who wouldn´t be inspired to cook just by entering the place!?
Hugs!
