Good morning everyone! How are you? I’ve missed talking to you all! You may have heard on the news about the unusually cold weather that we’ve been having in the Carolinas. I can’t even believe that it has been colder here than it is in Ct! When I was there for Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t stop whining about the cold and it seems as if I brought it back here with me
.

Therefore, of late it has been all about layering. I layer everything, even my eating utensils-no kidding! Don’t you just want to crawl under the covers of this bed? Love this room!
Now, she has mastered the art of layering, don’t you think? Being an island girl, I could use a lesson or two from her(although I’d colour coordinate differently and my choice of outfit would differ) . However, one thing is for sure, she is warm
. Christmas is just around the corner and while I am complaining about the cold, I am hoping that it will be a white Christmas. The cold will be worth it then. Have a joyful and warm Monday my friends. XX

Id love to crawl into that bed! Perfect when its cold out :)
ReplyDeleteThe colors in the first dress - AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite things about the cold weather is being able to layer up our bed - makes it so cosy!
ReplyDeleteI totes used that hippy chick on my blog the other day and it appears as though she must be some sort of crazy weather maven...It's been bloody pouring buckets like crazy for 3-4 days and they're forecasting 10 more of it. I'd love to dive under the covers and never get out! Great pictures here lady - stay warm. I'm totally wussing out w/you...leave for Canada on Friday and asked ma mere to get out the electric blanket. oy

What fabulous images. I'm in CT and it has gotten warmer here - not warm, mind you, just not the bitter frigid cold of last week. Love the contrast between the 2nd and 3rd shots - I want one of those fur throws!

ReplyDeleteCold here too Stacey and trust me major layering going on here but not as beautiful as these images.
ReplyDeleteFreezing here too!!! I love layers but they have to be just the right layers otherwise I feel bulky and restricted!
ReplyDeletexoxo
We have to layer here in Phoenix because it's chilly in the mornings and evenings but warm enough for shorts during the day!
ReplyDeleteSo in love with fur throws...makes the NC cold a little more welcome!!

Hi Stacey, you poor things. I'm so not a cold weather girl. And here I am packing for a summer holiday. In saying that though, the weather in Sydney yesterday was so cold it was like winter, and very windy. Once again, your images sing on the page. Wow. Just love all the colour combos, textures. Adore shots #1, #3 and your cool, boho, layer girl in the last shot. You have a wonderful Christmas won't you and I'll catch-up with you towards the end of January. Thanks for all the inspiration this year. Pruxxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Colorful images!!! I am ready for the layers. Absolutely!
ReplyDeletethat 5th picture is wonderful. best for the holidays
ReplyDeleteWhat a cosy post! We are having crazy weather in Australia too - we are lurching from hot to freezing so layering is my saviour for elegance and comfort. Especially want to snuggle up on the sofa with the fur throw -I hope it is faux fur of course - but it is really calling out for someone to lay languorously upon with a box of good dark chocolates...
ReplyDeletewhat luxurious photos! i love your new blog look!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove layers! In Chicago it's more than necessary most months of the year!
ReplyDeleteLove is the One who masters all things;
ReplyDeleteI am mastered totally by Love.
By my passion of love for Love
I have ground sweet as sugar.
Thanks...wonderful Lady...
i'm working on the art of layering as well. it really seems the only reliable way to dress out here, since it could: rain, hail, shine, freeze all in the span of day.
ReplyDeletehope you do get a white christmas (share photos for those of us with no snow prospects, mmmmk?). :D
love love love all these photos!

ReplyDeleteStacy dearest! YOU CAME TO MY THEATRE POST! Oh dear, I am quite silly at times....working with kids, you know, can make your inner child wake up! Yes dearest, I am in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we are getting MORE SNOW..can you believe that, after the Metrodome's roof collapsing, we are getting MORE! But it is gorgeous, my home is having a two room addition but on it, and blogs like yours are making me rethink my décor. I am off for our two week Christmas break, and I am lovin' life. I wish you and baby Z and your husband a warm and loving celebration and I CAN'T WAIT to see what you will bring us for 2011!!!!
ReplyDeleteFondly, Anita
