Blog therapy…?

idea8 This post is a thank you for following and commenting on my blog. You know how you can make someone’s day by giving them a compliment or just casting a genuine smile their way; your comments are that compliment or that smile to me. If you’ve been with me since my initial posts, you probably know that i’m a military wife.

That means having to deal with a husband who is deployed(off fighting the war) all the time. Well, i have seen a number of those deployments and each time seems to be more difficult than the next. I have been without dearest husband for 8 months and counting because he’s deployed again.

whitespace  Blogging is actually helping me cope with his absence. Usually, i would be at work (i’m a teacher)and the time didn’t seem to stand still when i’d be so busy with my job. However, after the birth of baby Zion, we decided that i should stay home to be a full time mom for a while.

Baby Zion does keep me very busy and i'm thoroughly sleep deprived( but i'm not complaining:-)).
idea14  However, my personality is such that i have to be “doing something”. That something is usually something creative. Hence the birth of this blog which now involves you and as a result is now helping me cope with my husband’s absence.:-)
It’s an amazing feeling to know that the content i post is appreciated by so many of you:-).  I thoroughly enjoy reading each comment. They definitely add a human touch to my blogging experience.

Again, thank you all!  xo

  4. One of my twin sons wants to have a military career....I hope that his wish is to have what makes him happy and challenged and the other would be to have a wife who has independence and creativity to inspire and lead of life side by side, no matter the distance.
I really love how you have so much energy to keep a blog while raising a wee one independently. You both must be proud of all your efforts.

  7. Aw, what an inspiring post! It sucks that you have to be away from your husband for so long, but I'm very glad that you've pursued ways to stay occupied in his absence. Thanks for sharing this with us!

  8. Thank you for sharing that with us! I am a newer follower and so I did not know this about you. It's always fun and interesting for me to get to know people through their blogs. It's like a whole community of people that lift you up and make you feel better. I just wish that life was like that everyday, wherever we go. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

I'm glad that you have this blog and all of us to bring that smile to your face. You are a lovely lady and have THE cutest baby boy. I adore him. If ever you need something, just call out to us and we'll be there!

    I hope you're having a wonderful sunday!

  9. Stacey- I'm so glad that we are getting to know each other through our blogs. It's been so much fun!

I would like to think that if we were in the same area, we would be friends! You are an amazing woman. And you're so strong from the sounds of it. Being able to care for your baby and yourself while you're husband is gone.

I admire you. Stay strong and know that we love you!

  10. I had no idea yor husband spend a lot of time away from you and your little baby. That must be very difficult. My common- law spouse used to work away from home a lot before, but were able to come home in the weekends. I can´t imagine how it would be if he went away several months, and as a military!!!
You must be a very strong woman and I truly admire you!!!

  25. Hi Stacey - oh, this is such an inspiring post! When is he home next? I bet he will be gobsmacked by how much Zion has grown!! Good that you at least have one man in the house! :)
And what a cutie he is!!

    Lots of hugs
    xx C

  29. I just read this post Stacey and I have to say a big thankyou to your husband for being a man that will fight for all of us and thankyou for being a strong inspirational woman. I am lucky enough to have my hubby work here in the same city and somedays I find Motherhood tough.
YOu have just made me appreciate my challenging motherhood days that much more.

Your comments are like my daily dose of sunshine. They brighten my day:-).
