Tablescape inspiration: July 4th

July 4th is usually filled with celebration amongst family and friends. Usually, there is some festivity of some kind going on. I thought this July 4th tablescape called Patriotic Shortcake  was simple and fun. I love the pinwheel drink accents, the balloons, the hanging pennant in the front, everything!

Open the door!

I have thought about painting my front door so many times, but, i still haven’t. Now, i am
seriously motivated to do it after seeing these doors. I would love to see what’s behind
these doors. So,  somebody, anybody, please open the door!:-).

Child spaces.

Although baby Zion is now 15 months old,  his nursery is still an ongoing design process… I get new
ideas everyday!  I love when personality is injected into a child’s space and these child spaces exude
great personality.

Summer Colours Week: Yellow

I decided to join in the fun of summer colours week. Poppytalk is responsible for this awesome idea. I am one day behind. Yesterday was pink day and today it’s yellow.

Garden Pots.

I love to buy garden pots and as a result, i have amassed quite a collection. I mostly have terracotta pots ranging all in all shapes and sizes. However, i do have a couple modern ones mixed in with the bunch.

What kind of garden pots do you tend to buy? Do you tend to stick to one style of garden pot? I personally tend to buy what i like which has resulted to my pot collection being more eclectic.

Great find: Lotus Bleu

lotus bleu shf
Yesterday , i received this month’s issue of Elle Decor in the mail. It always makes my day and i couldn’t wait to devour its contents. While “devouring,” i came across a feature on Lotus Bleu. The feature caught my eye because of  its accompanying picture. The picture showed accessories, rugs, furniture that all screamed come hither and touch me. They were very appealing to look at. This led me on my quest to find out more about Lotus Bleu.
Lotus Bleu is the name of  this gorgeous shop situated in San Francisco and owned by interior designer Jeannie Fraise. The shop features products  from the likes of Madeline Weinrib, John Robshaw, Katherine Rally, and Muskhane. In addition, as if featuring these great craftmasters wasn’t enough, you can also score great Vintage Danish-modern chairs and vibrant patterned wallpaper.

A Peek into the store

Wouldn’t you agree that this is one of those shops where you want to touch everything? Also, did i mention that Jeannie Fraise(designer and shop owner), makes frequent trips to France and Southeast Asia to gather these beautiful and bold items?  How lucky you are if you live in San Francisco to have this shop!

A Beautiful space

This space was one of Jeannie Fraise’s design projects. I love the splashes of colour and texture everywhere! Such inspiration…
